Dr. Alexander Verhoeven is a lawyer at Buchalik Brömmekamp and a certified consultant for German debtor-in-possesion proceedings (by the “Deutsches Institut für angewandtes Insolvenzrecht e.V., DIAI”). He advises national and international companies/investors in the fields of Corporate Law/(Distressed) M&A/Insolvency Law/Restructurings. He specializes in accompanying clients throughout all stages of (distressed) M&A projects as well as the planning/initiation and implementation of debtor-in-possesion (insolvency plan) proceedings.
After studying law at the universities of Cologne and Bonn/Germany as well as Lausanne/Switzerland he attended the Center for American & International Law in Dallas/Texas/USA. He worked as managing director for a Brazilian company in Curitiba/Brazil for 5 years. After returning to Germany he worked in different corporate and insolvency law oriented law firms. Since 2017 he operates from the Frankfurt offices of Buchalik Brömmekamp, a market leading restructuring advisory firm. He speaks German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.
