Dr. Stefan Steinkühler is a German lawyer specialized in insurance law and a recognized expert in management liability. In addition to several years as head of the Financial & Professional Services division of an international insurance broker, he worked several years as a lawyer in Düsseldorf in the fields of ​​industrial insurance. He predominantly served insurance brokers, especially so-called inhousebrokers. He gained further experience in the development of international insurance programs as well as the handling of product liability, D&O, E&O and fidelity claims, here especially “CEO-fraud”/”fake-president” cases.

Prior to his legal education, he was trained as a banker at a private bank, where he also completed a trainee program before he started his legal clerkship.

After his legal education, he specialized right from the beginning in ​​management liability and the risk transfer by way of so-called Financial Lines products. In this respect, he published numerous articles and lectured at seminars and conferences. In his dissertation “The Legal Significance of Corporate Principles”, Dr. Stefan Steinkühler focused on the implementation and liability of published bylaws. As part of a postgraduate course in “Insurance Law”, he obtained the “Master of Insurance Law – LL.M.” and successfully completed the expert lawyer training in insurance law.

Dr. Stefan Steinkühler is member of the German Society for Professional Indemnity Insurance (DGVH) and the German Association of Insurance Experts (BVSV).
