The European telecommunication companies Deutsche Telekom and Tele2 AB sell T-Mobile Netherlands to WP/AP Telecom Holdings which is a joint venture of the private equity firms Apax Partners and Warburg Pincus.
After its transformation, the target company is a full FMC player and the fastest grower in the fixed market serving around 700,000 broadband customers as end of second quarter of 2021. It generated more than EUR 2 billion annual revenues and EUR 582 million adjusted EBITDA AL in the last twelve months (June 30, 2021). The Enterprise Value is EUR 5.1 billion, i.e. 8.7x LTM adjusted EBITDA AL. Deutsche Telekom receives around EUR 3.8 billion net cash proceeds from the divestment.
