Ben Constance is a corporate practice group partner at DWF based in Singapore. He assists private equity, venture capital and corporate clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic commercial contracts.

With over 15 years’ experience at law firms in the Middle East, Asia and Australia, Ben brings extensive experience in international M&A, joint ventures, private equity and advising technology companies across the full company life cycle. He advises across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on technology, energy, utilities, retail and financial services.

Ben routinely works with US and multinational corporates and financial investors undertaking business throughout Asia Pacific and the Gulf region. Ben is well-regarded for his ability to sensibly manage and negotiate complex corporate transactions and commercial agreements and has previously been appointed to an advisory panel of NASDAQ Dubai to advise on its listing rules.

Ben has significant credentials advising on early round funding in the tech space through to IPO and stock exchange listings, such as the IPO of iProperty on the ASX. Ben represents clients from all parts of the digital sector, and with his colleagues from across the DWF international team, advise a diverse mix of companies from innovative start-ups to internationally recognised names. He has previously been appointed as a legal mentor to accelerator programs, Turn8 and InspireU in Dubai.

With DWF’s international footprint across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, Ben has a strong link to US companies looking to expand in these regions. He regularly leads a team to advise US entities on M&A, intellectual property, real estate, litigation, commercial, HR, immigration and tax requirements, delivering closely integrated solutions with country specific expertise.

He has acted on a number of prominent M&A deals in the MENA and SE Asian region in recent years and is regularly ranked in leading legal research directories for his work in the Gulf.
